What Kind of Application Is Dermapen?
It is a micro-needling method that makes hundreds of microscopic punctures on the skin surface with a device with a large number of millimeter needles on its tip, thus initiating the skin's own natural healing mechanism.
How does Dermapen application work?
The aim of this treatment is to restructure the skin by creating a controlled very small wound on the skin with minimal epidermal damage. During the application, 250-500 microchannels per 1 cm² are created on the upper skin with 0.5-2.5mm long needles. Each of these opened channels is perceived as a wound on the skin. In order to close these wounds, the skin tries to repair itself by increasing blood circulation in that area and secreting various growth factors. In addition, various vitamins, enzymes and even PRP solution applied to the skin surface during the procedure can be used to be transmitted subcutaneously through these microchannels. As a result, the production of hyaluronic acid, collagen and elastin is triggered and skin regeneration occurs in that area.
